At CES 2015, we met the LG G Flex 2. The Flex 2 is a successor to LG G Flex which is sort of a controversial Smartphone of 2014 because of its screen issues. LG seems to fixed them in their G Flex 2. The phone shares some design aspects from its predecessor and LG’s current flagship, The G3.
The G Flex 2 comes in with a 5.5 inch Diagonally measured 1080p P-OLED Display panel with some special coating from the company claimed to be 20% tougher than Corning Gorilla Glass 3, instead of a Quad-HD IPS LCD from the LG G3.
LG G flex has similar tactile rear mounted Volume buttons with same 13 Mega Pixels Optically stabilized Camera bundled up with Laser Focus and Dual LED Flash Light. The back panel of LG G Flex 2 is made of an amazing looking Glossy plastic which has an Improved self-Healing coating which recovers from minor scratches in a couple of seconds instead of taking minutes.
The back panel is removable which reveals a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery which also has Quick Charging, Thanks to the fast charger comes with the phone. The LG G Flex 2 comes with a Snapdragon 810 instead of the 801 of the LG G3. Upto 3GB of RAM in some models but LG G3 comes with only 2 GB of RAM. 32 or 64 GB of Internal storage with an MicroSD Expansion slot capable of upto 2 Tera Bytes, which isn’t present in the G3.
On the software side, G Flex 2 comes preloaded with Android LolliPop 5.0 which is the latest offering from Google. LG has put on some software tweaks in the G Flex 2 such as Quick Glance of time by swiping from upper corner which the screen is off. These software things may eventually come to the G3 but even if they don’t, It wouln’t make much difference for most of the users.
In comparison, The LG G3 has everything good but LG G Flex 2 is just Excellent. The prices of LG G Flex 2 is still to be unveiled but we don’t expect it to be anywhere near the LG G3.
